Chicken Noodle Soup 🍜

 Now there is so many ways to make your own home made chicken noodle soup but here is my take on the classic!



Ingredients:

  • I whole chicken- 3ish pounds 
  • Celery- 4-5 pieces
  • Carrots- 6 medium 
  • Yellow Onion 
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Pasta of your choice ( I love spiral noodles)
  • Rosemary
  • Sage 
  • Thyme
  • Dill weed 

Tools needed:
  • Large 10-16 quart pot 
  • Smaller pasta pot
  • Cutting board
  • Knife 

Steps:

  1. In a large pot put chicken in, (remember to take the giblets out if they are shoved In it) cut the carrots, onion and celery in half and toss them in the pot then cover with water until the chicken is fully submerged 
  2. Set on stove on low for 3-4 hours until chicken starts to fall apart from bones 
  3. Take chicken and veggies out of broth and place onto cutting board
  4. Let cool down, and pull chicken off the bones and cut into small pieces then place back into pot
  5. Cut the veggies and onion into size you would like then place back into pot
  6. Add a pinch of the spices into pot also include generous amount of pepper and salt
  7. Let sit on low for another hour while in separate pot you bring water to a boil with a. Sprinkle of salt
  8. Cook your choice of noodles in the separate pot for 12 minutes, drain when done and add to soup pot 
  9. Turn off heat on soup pot and Let sit in pot for 10 minutes then serve!
  10. Enjoy!
