Air Fried Donuts!🍩

These AirFryed Donuts are great! They are a little more cakey then fluffy when it comes to donuts but they taste great! It takes about 2 hours and 10 minuted and makes 8 average sized donuts with 8 donut holes as well! Great for a Brunch or family get together or to make with the Kiddos!

Items you’ll need:

  • 2 Medium Mixing Bowls
  • 1 small mixing bowl
  • Measuring Cups Sheet pan
  • Parchment Paper (optional)
  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray
  • AirFryer
  • Wisk
  • Spoon

Ingredients For the Donuts:

  • 1/2 Cup Of  Milk
  • 1 Packet of Active Dry Yeast (1/4 oz in the packet) or 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast if you have a jar of it
  • 2 Cups of All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 TSP of Salt
  • 4 TBSP Melted Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 TSP Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup of Granulated Sugar

IngredientsBFor the Vanilla Glaze

  • 1/3 Cup of powered sugar (below I’ll list how to make powered sugar if you only have Granulated Sugar)
  • 1/4 cup of Milk
  • 1/3 TSP Pure Vanilla Extract

You can make a chocolate glaze as well with coco powder or top with a great cinnamon sugar mixture too! I like the Vanilla glaze and then added sprinkles!

How to make the Donuts:

  1. In a medium microwave safe Bowl spray with Nonstick cooking spray, Add milk in microwave for about 40 seconds until it’s room temperature or a tad warm. Remove from microwave add your teaspoon of sugar and stir to dissolve it then sprinkle over the yeast that it sit for a minute and then mix in with your milk. You then wanna let it sit for about eight minutes until it starts to get a little bubbly.
  2. In your second medium bowl mix together your flour and salt
  3. In your smaller bowl you’re going to mix your 1/4 cup of sugar through meaning your butter that is melted egg and your vanilla extract mix until all units are combined.
  4. Your yeast should be a little bubbly or frothy at this point, so you can mix in your items that are in your small bowl (the sugar butter eggs and vanilla) Then add your salt and flour mixture into the bowl as well.
  5. You’ll take your bigger spoon and mix until your dough forms (you can hand mix as well as use your stand mixer if preferred just use a dough hook to knead the dough until elastic like with a little stick to it)
  6. You may want to put flower on the counter and need there this will allow you to read oil your bowl!
  7. Once your dough is elastic and a tad sticky its formed properly so you’ll put it back in (I prefer a glass) bowl that is oiled then cover with a damp paper towel or clean damp dish rag for 1 hour.
  8. After the hour has passed you can take the dough out and placed on a slightly flowered countertop roll it out to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
  9. If you have a round cookie cutter you can use this to make the donut shape and a shot glass will take out the middle of the donut hole (keep the middle donut hole!)
  10. Place the donuts (pre-air fried) on a cookie sheet that is lightly oiled, you can put parchment paper down first then lightly oil the parchment to paper or just place it on a lightly oiled cookie your preference, then cover with damp paper towel or dish rag for 45 minutes.
  11. While you wait you can mix your vanilla glaze buy simply mixing all ingredients until smooth!
  12. After your 45 minutes you are ready to air fry!
  13. Place your air fryer setting on air fry for 350°F and for five minutes, Please for donuts on the tray making sure that they’re not touching you can do less at a time if you like, You can also put the donut holes in with the donuts as long as none of them touch while cooking
  14. Once it’s all set you’re going to remove with a pair of tongs as they will be a little hot in place on a cooling rack, I would advise putting paper towels but I need the cooling rack for when you glaze and or place sprinkles on
  15. Once they came out place on cooling rack for about 5 to 10 minutes you then can either dip the donut in a shallow bowl with your glaze at the bottom or paint it on with a cooking brush then add sprinkles
  16. Enjoy!!

How to make powered Sugar:
  • Take your granulated sugar and tossed into a blender and Pulse on a liquefy or purée for about 3-5 minutes and Bam you have powdered sugar!!!
